- Do I need a special licence?
- A full NZ or international licence is fine. Overseas drivers without an English-language licence need an IDP or certified translation.
- Can I take a vehicle on gravel and beach access roads?
- Our 4x4s and AWD wagons are made for it. Sand driving and riverbeds are not covered — ask us if you are unsure about a specific track.
- Is insurance included?
- Comprehensive insurance is included on every booking. The bond covers the excess.
- What is the minimum age?
- Twenty-one. Drivers under twenty-five attract a small daily surcharge.
- Are roof racks and towbars available?
- Most of our fleet has roof rails, and several vehicles are towbar-equipped. Add it as a note on your booking and we will sort it.
